Prepared local example. No return is being processed.
Review the next path for a returned item.
Keep the request, physical evidence and a conditional route scenario together, so the next reviewer can see what is recorded and what is still missing.
- 01 Request context
- 02 Physical evidence
- 03 Route review
Keep three decisions separate.
A requested resolution, a receiving record and a possible handling route answer different questions.
01
Request context
A refund or exchange request does not prove physical condition.
02
Physical evidence
Receipt records do not establish inspection, sellability or permission to restock.
03
Route review
Selecting a conditional scenario moves no stock and changes no customer resolution.

Compare conditional route scenarios.
Select an assumption set to read the calculation and next evidence. All routes remain visible; selection makes none more certain or eligible.
Acquisition cost, taxes, channel fees and eventual realized sale are outside these examples. The calculation is not profit or realized recovery revenue.

What do these fields and assumptions mean?
Case and receipt IDs identify prepared records. An inspection ID means a sample note is present, not that its condition is verified. The source image is absent in both cases. Requested resolution is a customer request, while a route is an operational scenario. Expected proceeds and costs are assumptions; unknown values stay unknown. Eligibility, resolution and final outcome need separate evidence.
Record what happens next.
These are required future records, not completed events. A scenario needs actual costs and an observed disposition outcome before it can support a recovery claim.
01
Inspect
Obtain physical evidence and the missing source image.
02
Document the decision
Record the owner, evidence and separate eligibility and policy review.
03
Record handling
Capture what handling actually occurred and its observed costs.
04
Observe the final outcome
Record the disposition and customer resolution; compare assumptions with actual evidence.
Applicable policy, eligibility and customer resolution require their own review. This example makes no compliance or jurisdictional determination.
Bring the missing records to the next review.
Discuss the evidence needed for a bounded review. The specimen transfers no store data and performs no refund, warehouse or inventory action.
